Private In-person Classes
With 30 years of teaching Childbirth and over 1000 births attended, I am one of the area’s most experienced Certified Childbirth Educators. I have taught thousands of couples both privately and at several hospitals and birth centers. I train nurses, doctors, midwives and doulas to become Certified Childbirth Educators. I helped develop the certification exam for Lamaze Childbirth Educators. Most importantly, I LOVE what I do and am grateful for and respectful of each parent I work with!
Typically we meet for 1 session for 3+ hours each class. A second class can be added.
Classes are tailored to the subjects that you wish to cover.
Topics can include and are not limited to:
- relaxation for birth
- comfort measures
- breathing patterns
- simple exercises for preparing your body for birth
- positions for labor
- positions for birth
- what to expect of our babies and bodies during labor and birth
- timing contractions
- early labor plans
- pain medications
- cesarean birth
- common interventions at hospital
- clarifying your desires for birth

COST: $300 each 3+ hours class in Santa Rosa
Outside of Santa Rosa?
For Private In-Home Classes: $50 travel fee for Petaluma, Rohnert Park, Cotati, Sebastopol, Healdsburg, Windsor. Sonoma, Napa and Marin $60 travel fee. If the travel fee prohibits you from taking a class, I am able to offer you a class in my Santa Rosa office. In all cases there is a $50 retainer fee to assure your class that is deducted from your total.
